Late Adds

If you have recently added a course, there can be up to a 3 day "lag" time before you will be able to log into that course.  Please note that if the add occurs at the end of the work week AND near the end of our business day, you may not be added to the class until the following Monday.  For information on how to petition to add an Open Campus online course, please see the information below.

How to petition to add an Open Campus Online Course

At this time there is no automated procedure for petitioning to add an online class that has been CLOSED. However, you may be able to contact the instructor by email. You can use the RCC Faculty/Staff search utility to find and email instructors. Also, the WebAdvisor Schedule may list the Instructor's email address. In this case, you may try the following procedure:

PLEASE NOTE: The listing of an e-mail address for an instructor DOES NOT guarantee that the course is open or that the instructor will allow you to add the course.

  1. If you are able to find the instructor using the RCC Faculty/Staff search utility or if you are able obtain the instructor's email address from the WebAdvisor Schedule, email the instructor and ask to be added to the class. The following information must be supplied when you e-mail an instructor requesting to be added to an online course:
    1. your full name
    2. your email address
    3. your 7-digit RCC Student ID Number (Note: NOT your Social Security Number)
    4. the course title
    5. the course’s section number
Once you have emailed your request to be added, please do not continue to contact the instructor regarding your petition to add.
  2. If the instructor allows you to add, then he/she will contact you by e-mail, providing you with an individualized add code. You must use this add code to register for the course. You can use your add code to register in person at Moreno Vally College, Norco College, or Riverside City College. You can also use your add code online through WebAdvisor. After logging in to WebAdvisor, be sure to watch the Registration Tutorial.

You will not be permitted to add the class using the Add Code until the first day of the class.
  3. Once you have registered, pay your tuition and fees immediately (otherwise, you risk being dropped from your courses for non-payment of fees). You can pay via Tiger Talk at 951-779-3100 with a credit card, or mail a check to RCC, Admissions & Records, 4800 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside, CA 92506.

Again, you will not be permitted to add the class using the Add Code until the first day of class.

    * Be sure to check the RCC District Registration Page for the latest registration information.
